I’m the Android engineer currently developing the Flipster Android app. I was the first member to join the team when there was no Flipster app, so I started from the initial design and have been developing since then. Now we have a whole brilliant team of hardcore engineers who – apart from me! – started programming from elementary school.

That said, high quality work isn’t just about the excellence of individual team members. We’re always looking to improve how we work. We don’t just create products; we create great processes for making great products.

From a technology perspective, you might think dealing with finance would mean our technology is very legacy-focused and stability-seeking. That’s not the case. Our app is 100% composed of Jetpack Compose, and it contains all the core technologies of the latest Android technology.

Overall, the culture here is free and flat. Everyone chooses their tasks during sprint planning and works on what they’re interested in. There’s no junior or senior in code reviews either: everyone decides themselves what needs reflection. Also, you’re free to choose whether it suits you better to work in our office in central Yeouido or work remotely as most of our team do.

I've been working for over a decade. How many employees do you think genuinely love their work? With Flipster, that’s me. I love what I do, and I'm very excited about the future.
